VOCES ANDINAS - Multimedia project of the Conversations du Monde Association // PERU PART // The exhibition “Voices from the Andes” (Voces Andinas) is an invitation to share encounters with Quechua and Aymara people of the Andes mountains. Living witnesses of the traditional oral culture, they tell us their stories, individual or collective, real or imaginary.
Using photographic portraits in 35mm and medium format, and recordings of their voices, videos and stories, we find ourselves immersed into a one to one conversation with them.
Started in 2003, and with a continuous development (more than 6 trips have been made in Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Bolivia) the exhibition Voices from the Andes is now shown in its version 4, and has been presented worldwide above 15 times.
